Marie-Andree Marchand is a surface pattern designer and illustrator based in Quebec City, Canada. Her background is in biology, arts and museology, and she has a university degree in graphic design with an emphasis on illustration. Flowers, plants and nature have always been her biggest source of inspiration, although she also loves objects and architecture. Her colors are soft or earthy and her style has a kind of poetry to it. She works in raster and vector, often with added texture. She also does illustrations and pet portraits.
